| Bio: | ![]() I had an old pretentious bio for myself here for a number of years, and now I figure that it is time for a new pretentious bio! What to put exactly, I don't know, so I suppose that this will be an ongoing work-in-progress... Maybe not, but that thought gives me consolation. To start out, I want to say that I believe that fundamentally, life is by it's very nature meaningless and transient. Anything that you see as being inherently good and meaningful has it's holes in it, and everything that you love and cherish is going to change or go away somehow. There's no use clinging or whining about it, because that shit will just fuck you up even more than you need to be. That being said, I also believe that we humans all need "meaning" in our lives, and that the core essence of meaning is so powerful for us that it serves as the basic motivating force for all that we do. The question then becomes - "how do we come up with and relate to the meaning that we have in our lives, and then, how do we interface with that of others?" I am a weird guy, and these kinds of questions just really get me going... Other things about me... I want Civilization destroyed, gone, dead. I believe that Civilization and the domestication of life is the penultimate expression of our alienation from all that is chaordic, beautiful and profound. Therefore, that process of re-connecting to life and destroying that which destroys us is one of the most fulfilling games in town. I want total anarchy, and hence, a truly liberating anarchist social transformation of all our relations. I concur with Alexander Berkman when he said "I believe that Anarchism is the finest and biggest thing man has ever thought", and subsequently, I see the social relationship of "anarchy" as being the "finest and biggest" way that we can possibly relate. I do not like the construct of "ownership" - at all. I do not like the ownership of property("wage slavery"), I do not like the ownership of poessessions("selfish materialism"), I do not like the ownership of children that is so popular in society, I do not like the ownership of lovers("monogamy"), I do not even like considering one's own body as being owned by oneself, for in the end our bodies are just an impermanent piece of decaying organic matter. I believe that we are happier, more free, and dare I say "more realistic" when we do not consider anything to be owned by anybody. I do not like "ideology" - the signing on for easy answers. And I detest "morality" - the proclamations of across-the-board proscriptions. Life is simply not as simple as that. I am the kind of guy who likes to sit down and appreciate the situation's nuances, subtleties, complexities, and the implicit - and I think that you should too. With my own life, I would like to drop out, get away, relate and live very differently. I want to share all, learn what I want to learn, determine what to do with my time, and establish meaningful caring relationships with others. You can call this "lifestylist", you can call it "revolutionary", you can call it whatever you want to call it - all I know is that I have tried my hand at living the normal life, and I hated it with an absolute passion. If living my life differently kills me, then so be it, at least I will know that I tried embodying something that is important to me. ![]() | |
